The International Association of Chiefs of Police selected Waterhole Software to lead an effort that brings together state, local, and tribal law enforcement practitioners with expertise in law enforcement technology and information sharing. The goal of this effort is to help expand the United States Department of Homeland Security, Office of Science and Technology research portfolio and its current, in-progress development of technology tools to help improve the operational needs of law enforcement.

The National Center for State Courts awarded Waterhole Software a contract to develop NIEM-based IEPDs to replace proprietary and GJXDM-based exchanges for the Nevada Administrative Office of the Courts. The data exchanges included an Arrest Warrant, Warrant Clear, Citation, DMV Conviction, and Case Disposition. These data exchanges are available for other court districts to leverage.
